Jess + Ben {Engagement Shoot}

Engagement , Photo Shoot , Toronto - October 9, 2013 - 0 Comments

Every now and then, we get asked to work on a project that excites us beyond belief. That was the case when Scarlet O’neill approached us to style her couple’s bohemian inspired engagement shoot.

Jess and Ben are hip and stylish and ooze with natural bohemian style. Their musical background, love for the outdoors and all things 70s navigated the theme for their stylized engagement shoot. Their requests were for the shoot to feel natural, warm, romantic and most of all, unique. To set the stage, we set up a 70s inspired picnic on the Scarborough Bluffs just in time to catch the sunrise. With DIY dream catchers, record players and a vintage camera, this ‘picnic’ had it all. Jess and Ben cuddled up and instantly it felt like they were in their own world, creating their own story. It was magical.

Phil from Electric Bus Company provided our transportation and drove his electric VW right onto the beach for the couple to play around with. We accessorized it with blankets and pillows and before long, Ben was playing some of Jess’ favourite songs and had her giggling and smiling from ear to ear.

Other little details included some retro pop bottles, pie pops from Lottie and Lil, vintage love stories, a floral crown and witty 70s inspired picket signs.

Jess and Ben were married in Caledon, Ontario on August 18, 2013.
