Ashleigh’s ‘Love Story’ Bridal Shower

Bridal Shower , Toronto - December 5, 2013 - 0 Comments

This bridal shower was created for a bride whom has a love for literature and all things vintage.  Ashleigh’s ‘Love Story’ was the perfect theme for the bibliophilia and bride to be!

Invites were created to mimic a book page with ‘chapter one’ of the love story being the bridal shower.

Elyse Leanna catered the entire event and created the perfect menu. She prepared mushroom soup shooters, individual lobster raviolis, beet salad bites on endive spears, grilled chicken and veggie skewers and risotto balls stuffed with fontina cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious. The table was accessorized with a book page ‘tablecloth’, vintage books, cake stands, florals and a window pane that read ‘every love story is beautiful but ours is my favorite’.

For the sweet table, we used a vintage dresser and accented it with a typewriter and library card index box. We filled the table with vintage books, feminine flowers and lots of tasty treats. Elyse prepared mini blueberry crumbles served in mason jars and a vanilla naked cake with vanilla buttercream frosting accented with flowers.  The Investment Baker prepared ‘love story’ cookies to complete the table.

As an activity for the ladies, we prepared a game for guests to match a date to the event that took place in Ashleigh and Mike’s Love Story. We used library cards which tied into the theme of the day perfectly. Custom pencils were used to fill in the games.

For favors, we prepared kraft paper boxes with a ‘and they lived happily ever after’. Inside the girls received an Essie nail polish named ‘happily ever after’.

Wishing Ashleigh and Mike all the best on their upcoming wedding day!

Special thanks to Little Alexa for coming to document the day – we loved working together!
